My heart is so happy

Yesterday, Daughter and I were having a conversation about someone else and the following was said:      Me:  [This other woman] is not my favorite person.      Daughter:  Know who my favorite adult person is?      Me:  Who?      Daughter:  You.      Me:  ....seriously??      Daughter:  Yup! *big smile*   I'm pretty sure at that moment in time, my heart exploded.  Moments like this make it all worth it.

New things

Boyfriend had two court hearings last Thursday, which resulted in him having both a good and a bad day. The first case was for him violating the restraining order that The Ex had taken out against him.  The second case was a contempt motion filed in The Ex & Boyfriend's divorce case.   The bad news was that someone was found in contempt during the family court hearing.  I'm assuming it's Boyfriend because The Ex hasn't gotten a penny from him in child support so he owes her over $2,000 at this point; I am also assuming that he hasn't been abiding by the court-ordered exchange time which is what led to rant against Husband about "knowing by law that she has 24 hours to pickup the kids" because she is "dealing with this with [Boyfriend]."   The good news is that Boyfriend was being charged with six counts of violating a restraining order, operating after revocation, and bail jumping.  The Ex was expecting Boyfriend to get jail time as par...

Don't forget to update the update and then update me when you do the update.

So after not having logged into 2houses for eleven straight days, The Ex sends a message to Husband with the subject "Pizza money" and said: "When I picked up [Daughter] on Saturday I paid for [The Ex's brother's] pizza. ( The school had a pizza sale fundraiser; The Ex and some of her family bought pizzas. ) I paid you $30.  I had thought he ordered pizzas with mushrooms but he didn't. ( The Ex filled out his order form. ) I shouldn't have paid you $30, it should have been $25. ( I just love that she's so aware of the fact that she "overpaid" by an entire five dollars, yet still owes us money from the kids' medical bills from nearly two years ago. ) Please minus $5 from the kids bill that I owe you and update it. ( Not "deduct $5 from the bill" or "apply the extra $5 toward the bill" - "minus $5" because we're doing second grade math. ) I've made a $30 payment and you sent an update of the balanc...

Happy Sunday, everybody.

Boyfriend just sent me a friend request on Facebook.   I'm almost inclined to accept just to piss off The Ex, but we're not going to make any rash decisions.

Cue the "Rocky" theme song

To recap the last 48 hours with The Ex: she blew up Husband's inbox, asked to switch weekends, changed her mind about switching weekends, asked to pick up the kids on Saturday morning, accused Husband of starting arguments with her or telling her "bull crap", made up a law that doesn't exist, brought up her second divorce/custody battle, announced that she was going to pick up the kids on Saturday morning, and then said that she might have her dad help her and pick up one kid on Friday night and one kid on Saturday morning.  So really, she didn't clarify anything and everyone was much more confused than if she had just not sent a message to begin with.   Husband responded to all of this insanity with a straight-to-the-point, factual reply; he closed it by asking The Ex to figure out what she wanted to do and let him know.   Last night, The Ex replied: "[Son] will be picked up on Friday and [Daughter] on Saturday at 11am"   It's short and di...

You're bugging what, you're bugging who? You're bugging me and don't you see it ain't cool (Shout out to old school Destiny's Child)

Things have been so quiet.  So very, very nice and quiet.  And without warning, The Ex suddenly decided that she had lots and lots of things to talk about all at one time.   Husband had previously sent a message letting The Ex know that she would need to take Son & Daughter to their orthodontist appointments during the summer because they would be with her the majority of the time; Husband asked if she could let him know what was the most convenient day and time for her to take them so he could get the appointments set up.  The Ex replied that her boss asked for three weeks' notice and she could probably get off that date, but a Thursday or Friday would be better.  Husband replied saying he'd put the appointments on the calendar after they were made.  This all happened over two weeks ago.   Then yesterday at 1:43pm: "If the appointments will be in June and July( The first sentence of Husband's original message said that Son and Daughter...

Tournament details

So circling back to this tournament that took place a few weeks ago...you remember, the one where The Ex told Daughter that Husband was lying because he didn't give her the exact street address so she and Ned had to Google it, yet she wanted Daughter to give her the address because she couldn't bother doing it herself immediately after stating that's what she had done in the past?  Yeah, that tournament.   Five days before the tournament, we got an email with the tournament schedule.  Husband sent the schedule to The Ex and told her that Daughter's first game would be at 9:30am on Friday; he said the rest of the games would be determined by if her team won or lost but she would have at least one game on Saturday.  The Ex read the message and didn't reply ( And then told Daughter that Husband was "lying" about the info being on the calendar. )   Daughter made the comment that The Ex was getting a hotel room near the host school for the weekend.  T...
