"Selfish" doesn't even scratch the surface.

Allll the way back on January 28th, Daughter came home with a note saying that the state basketball tournament would be on the weekend of March 11th, and that quite a few of the girls from her team were going to attend.  We asked if she also wanted to go, she said yes, we told the parent organizing the ticket purchase & hotel rooms that Daughter would be going. ( This shouldn't have been a problem, as The Ex previously stated that "what...Daughter wants to do is her first and highest priority." )  Husband logged into 2houses, sent The Ex a message about the tournament since it was on her weekend, asked if she wanted to switch weekends or just pick up Son that Friday, and then added the tournament to the calendar.   Again - that was on January 28th .  The tournament was on the weekend of  March 11th .  The Ex was given a full 6 weeks' notice of the schedule change, and she was given the option of switching that weekend so that she could spend ti...

Random little things

Communication has been at a minimum and The Ex logs into 2houses about once every two weeks.  Not really anything new to report on that front. ~   ~   ~   ~   ~   Boyfriend was transferred to another detention facility.  My curiosity got the best of me so I called there; he's getting deported this week. ~   ~   ~   ~   ~   The Ex now has not one, but  two  creditors garnishing her wages.  I almost feel as if she spent so many years telling everyone that she had no money, it's like she willed it into existence.  One week after the first creditor filed, The Ex changed the registration on her car; my best guess is she's trying to hide one of the two assets she has left. ~   ~   ~   ~   ~   The Ex changed the license plate on her vehicle five days before it had to be renewed.  My assumption is that she's registered it in someone else's name in an attempt to...

Now she's selling the trailer

A few months ago, The Ex and/or her attorney submitted a proposed marital settlement agreement because she and Boyfriend are still legally married.  According to what she submitted, The Ex and Boyfriend have allegedly $30,000 in assets and $19,000 in debt; among other things, The Ex somehow valued Boyfriend's truck at only $2,000 but conveniently left her vehicle out of the calculation.  The Ex is essentially proposing that she be awarded the majority of the assets and come out approximately $10,000 ahead, while Boyfriend would be left with only his truck and nearly $8,500 in debt.    Daughter told Husband and I that last weekend, The Ex went back to New City to get the rest of her things from the trailer she & Boyfriend own so that she could list it for sale.  Daughter said that The Ex had to take her friend with her because there are four other people living there who do not speak English and The Ex is unable to communicate with them.   ...

Now everything is Daughter's fault.

As the years have gone by, The Ex has constantly blamed Husband and/or me for everything that goes wrong.  We've learned to brush our shoulders off, ignore the asinine behavior, and continue on with our lives.  And while I recognize that mental disorders such as narcissism do not discriminate, I am just left astonished by the way that The Ex has started treating Daughter.   Last week, the kids had off of school on Friday.  According to the stipulation we worked out nearly three years ago, this means that The Ex would get placement Thursday night at 5:30pm.  However, Daughter had a basketball game on Friday at 6pm; Husband already stated to The Ex that he did not agree that she would be responsible for bringing Daughter to her games because a)The Ex made Daughter skip practice and b)The Ex brought Daughter to her games after they had already started.   Wednesday evening, Daughter comments that The Ex "doesn't know if she's picking [Daughter] up ...

She's coming unhinged.

The Ex must really be upset about something in her personal life, because she just cannot stop with her constant tirades against both Husband and myself.  Unfortunately, she has her meltdowns with/toward Son and Daughter, who are both left speechless by her outbursts.   Last week at school, Son was being stupid with one of his friends and took it too far.  The school dean called me to let me know, said they gave him two 1-hour detentions, and that Son had apologized profusely to his friend for what he did.  The dean and I laughed, talked about what a great kid Son really is, and how he needs to think things over rather than just acting on them.   This would be all good and fine, except for the fact that Son told The Ex about it.  When he said that  he was told that they needed to call his parents, The Ex asked why she wasn't called and commented, " I'm your mom.  Let me guess: they called [my name]?"  Son said yes, they had c...

New year, same old lies

New Years' Day, Husband wakes up to find a text message on his phone from an unknown number: "Good morning! This is [The Ex].  Don't know if you have my new phone number. ( You never gave it to him, why would he have it?  Found out the kids have had this number for 2.5 weeks; thanks for not letting us know how to reach you in case there was an emergency with the kids.  Parenting win! ) Just wanted to let you know that I will be dropping [Daughter] off later today. ( Daughter was supposed to stay through Monday evening because of winter break, but had practice on Monday.  This is the first we heard about Daughter coming home early. ) Before 8pm. ( So, Daughter will be home sometime in the next twelve hours.  Thanks for narrowing that down. ) She says that she can't miss practice. ( Husband literally told her this forty-two days ago.  This is not new information. ) On the schedule it says it's TBD. ( She's referring to the schedule that was handed out...

I'm starting to run out of adjectives to describe her.

So, gonna have some graphic language in this post.  Figured I'd warn you.   The other day, The Ex was complaining to Daughter that she didn't think she should have basketball practice at the end of the month; she said Daughter should tell her coach that it's a holiday and they don't need to practice. ( The Ex has never played any sport in her life and has no idea what she's talking about.  The only reason she's saying this is because she doesn't want to have to plan on picking Daughter up on Friday; she wants to come to her game on Thursday night and leave from there with Daughter. )  Daughter replied that the coach scheduled practice because he didn't want them having an entire week off in addition to all the holiday food that we're all going to consume.   The Ex responded to Daughter's statements about her coach by yelling that Husband is "a piece of shit and doesn't care." ( The coach scheduled practice, so Husband is a pie...
