Another day, another rambling message.

The Ex has not logged into 2houses since January 26th.  That makes it thirteen days; she's required by the court order to check her emails daily.   This morning, Husband was lucky enough to get a rambling text AND a voice mail from The Ex.  The long-winded text message came at 7:19am and read: "I know you like to go through two houses for things but since this is tomorrow ( ...what?  "Since this is tomorrow"??? ) I'm texting you and yes I'll probably be calling and leaving a message also and it's not a probably I am. ( "I'll probably be calling...it's not a probably I am."  She's literally arguing with herself in her own text message. ) I have a doctor's appointment that's in [city name] tomorrow at 4 p.m. ( I don't care. ) and Dad will be going to get the kids tomorrow. ( I don't care about this, either. ) He just texted me and would like to know if he can pick them up straight after school ( No, because Daughte...

Happy birthday, enjoy your concussion

This video is a couple of years old; I forgot about it until recently.  We were celebrating a friend's birthday and someone commented about The Ex shoving her kid into a table at his birthday party.  I blurred out the faces and identifying information, and cropped off the end when the kid starts crying.   I think I've told you before that The Ex and her family have a "tradition" of shoving the birthday person's face into their cake.  There's doing this as a joke....aaand, then there's doing it as The Ex did in this video.  Around six seconds, you hear a loud "thud."  I'm still not able to tell if it's the sound of The Ex's son's face hitting the tabletop or his chest slamming into the corner.  Either way, it sounds incredibly painful.   I honestly wish there was some way to require testing prior to one being allowed to become a parent.

New-ish things

So sorry about the lack of updates.  The Ex has just been so very quiet.   The Ex and Daughter got into a semi-fight last weekend.  She was whining at Daughter about I don't even know what.  Something about wanting to see her/spend time with her, blah blah blah.  Daughter stood her ground, told The Ex that she gets upset at Son but takes her anger out on Daughter.  The Ex denied it.  Daughter pointed out how Son was always taking off and spending the entire weekend with Girlfriend ( They're dating again, by the way.  That's an entirely different blog topic all by itself. ) but The Ex doesn't say a word to him; she just gets mad at yells at Daughter when she didn't do anything wrong.   At some point, The Ex brought me up like she always has to.  The Ex complained that she feels like Daughter sees me as more of a mom than she does The Ex; Daughter replied that she doesn't even call me "Mom," she calls me by my first name. (...

Of course she is.

I'm so sorry for not updating more frequently, but....The Ex has gone completely silent.  She has gone for over a full month without logging into 2houses; if Husband emails her, she reads it and ignores him.  She will send a text every now and again, but that's about it.   She hasn't made it to a single basketball game of Daughter's this year but I've heard she's coming for Parents' Night.  It irritates me to a certain extent but it also makes me laugh; she thinks she's "proving" something by showing up for that one night, letting everyone see that Daughter is her child.  In reality, everyone is probably wondering who she is and why she's never around.  The last few times it's been Parents' Night, they just announce Daughter and then announce Husband and I as her parents; the one time she showed up, Daughter made sure to tell them to announce all 3 of us because you know there would be all sorts of hell to pay if we didn't ...

I don't understand any of this.

The Ex is...I don't even know what word to use to describe this.  Holiday Crazy is nothing new, but this one is just plain silly.   Yesterday, Daughter called The Ex to see if she could stay with us this weekend since a friend is having a birthday party.  The Ex said yes, started asking about Son and what was wrong( He had a temper tantrum over the weekend and messaged her, which she didn't respond to. ), and then started talking about her family celebrating Christmas.  I thought I overheard something but wasn't positive until she messaged Son later.  I'm going to share with you some of what she said: "We're doing that elephant gift exchange here at the house ( She means that they're doing "White Elephant" for Christmas this year. ) [The Ex's nephew] is an it only because he's buying his own gift ( I think she was saying her one nephew isn't participating, but somehow wrote "is an it." ) and I told [Daughter] that if yo...

Oh my goodness' sake.

Daughter told me last night that The Ex's daughter rides the bus with Lucifer, Ned's son.  The Ex's daughter claims that Lucifer says terrible things while they're on the bus together, and that she writes them down on her tablet.  Daughter said that her account is linked to the tablet, so she can see all of the things that are written down.  Since I have access to Daughter's account, I decided to look at these.   In chronological order, these are the things that The Ex's daughter has in her Google Docs: "[Lucifer] said he is the BOES ( I think this is supposed to be "boss."  The "E" is close enough to the "S" on the keyboard, so we'll call it a typo. ) BY [The Ex's daughter's first, middle, and last name] on the BUS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! can't BEALEVE it." "[Lucifer] is well might KILL his dada when he is on a honeymoon. He said on the bus. can't bealeve it. BY [The Ex's daughter...

She will never know anything, ever.

The Ex finally logged into 2houses on Saturday morning.  She read a message that Husband had sent five days prior about Daughter's practices on the week of Thanksgiving.  She read a message that Husband had sent ten days prior about Son's wisdom teeth and what she was going to owe for the procedure, how she wasn't following the court order about repaying medical bills or reading her messages, and asking if there was a reason she was not following the order; she did not reply.  She did not read the message that Husband sent on November 6th about Daughter's basketball schedule and attached a copy of the schedule, the message he sent on October 26th about Son's counseling, the message he sent on October 10th about Daughter's volleyball, or the message he sent on October 8th when she "wanted to talk to him" about mediation.   Monday morning, The Ex messaged Son asking him if Daughter had a game this Friday and where it was.  Son asked what she was tal...
