How did I forget to share this?!

I honestly thought I blogged about Girlfriend's graduation.  I am so sorry for letting this slip through the cracks; you guys are going to love this.   Girlfriend graduated high school about a month and half ago.  I'm super proud of her because last year, they weren't even sure she was going to graduate; she had slacked off/skipped class too much.  Now she not only graduated, but she did it with a 2-month-old baby that she is exclusively breastfeeding.  I really give her props.   The graduation ceremony fell on The Ex's placement weekend.  Daughter asked if I was coming to the ceremony; I said yes and that I could take her with me to save The Ex a trip, but I worked until 5pm that day so I didn't want The Ex flipping out that we weren't going to be there at the typical exchange time of 5:30pm.  Daughter said no, it was fine.   We drove up to Tiny City, walked into the high school, and found where Son was sitting with The Ex, her k...

Hahahaha...no.

The Ex has been doing her usual thing of not logging into 2houses regularly.  She logged in on May 8th and told Husband he was a jerk for charging her interest.  Husband emailed her on May 21st to give her a balance update after she sent a check home with Daughter; she didn't read it until June 13th.   On June 23rd, Husband gets an email that The Ex messaged him on 2houses: "Hi [Husband], [Daughter] had mentioned that you all were going to [Other State] this weekend. I'm not sure when your ( *you're ) leaving.  Friday is our exchange. ( This has literally been the arrangement for over 14 years.  What's next, she's going to email him to announce that they're divorced? ) I work until 5pm every day. ( That sounds like not my problem. ) Just in case I can't find someone to take her home on time( Let's all appreciate the Freudian slip of The Ex referring to our house as Daughter's "home." ), would you like to come pick her up on Thurs...

It's like her life is imploding.

I guess there's been a lot of negative stuff going on in Tiny City; as a result, Son and Girlfriend are talking about moving back down here.  Son really wants to and has been bringing it up to Girlfriend pretty frequently for the past few months.  Now with everything that's going on at her parents' house, she's considering it.  Son is talking about getting a job at Husband's work, Girlfriend says she knows she has more job opportunities here than she would there.  I told Girlfriend that I don't want to tell them what to do or make a decision for them; I don't want to push them to move back here and be miserable.  But honestly, with everything that's going on, it would be best for them to move here.  So I guess we wait and see.   This past weekend, they came down to visit and celebrate Father's Day.  Son was saying that his aunts and uncle don't bother trying to spend time with them anymore and he doesn't know what their problem is; he sai...

All Quiet on the Home Front.

We've heard nothing from The Ex since one month ago when she told Husband he's "the only jerk" who would charge her interest for medical bills that are unpaid for 30 days as our state law allows him to do.  Technically, Daughter should have been picked up yesterday for The Ex's summer placement but she's got graduation and birthday parties that she wants to attend here, so The Ex is letting her stay. ( On one hand, I feel like this is going to lead to The Ex not bringing Daughter back when she's supposed to and claiming that Husband "switched" weekends with her.  On the other hand, I think she'll roll with it because she's tired of always trying to fight us and losing...it doesn't fare well for her narcissistic ego to constantly be reminded that she's wrong. )   While The Ex has disengaged from Husband and me, she's posted some stuff to Facebook that's...different.  I mean, she's weird by herself but still...   A...

"Bring chairs."

Girlfriend messaged me on Snapchat on Monday night, asking if she could ask me a question and said she didn't want it getting back to The Ex.  I told her of course; I said that I never talked to The Ex and I certainly wouldn't repeat anything she asked, especially knowing that she didn't want The Ex knowing about it.   Girlfriend replied: "Is grandparent rights a thing in [Our State]? I just got into an argument with her and she brought it up. Shes fucking crazy I swear to god. I dont have an issue with her until she started bad mouthing me to everyone. Shes saying Im brain washing [Son] and that Im keeping [the baby] from her and shit. I dont care if she dont like me but she should still have reaspect. She told me she can get custody of him and I just stopped responding. She got mad we didnt go to [The Ex's son's] game today when she told us at 5:38 and it was at 6:00. I'm not telling [Son] about anything only because hes sick and stressing out as is....

I called.

This post is a couple weeks late, but let's go back to this whole issue with The Ex and/or Ned being investigated for child abuse.   I was really back-and-forth about contacting the social worker.  I didn't want to stir the pot, particularly over something that didn't involve me or Husband at all.  Son and Daughter are the only ones we need to concern ourselves with and they weren't the ones directly involved, so maybe we should just stay out of it.  A friend of mine commented that it might just be best to have faith that God was going to take care of it as He saw fit, The Ex would get what she had coming eventually, and that it might just be best not to insert ourselves in the situation any further.  I was honestly, truly ready to just let it go.   And then, I learned more than I wanted to.   A couple of months ago, The Ex was saying that she "kind of yelled at [Lucifer]."  The gist of it was that this particular incident started whe...

Happy Mother's Day!

Happy Mother's Day to all of you beautiful women out there.  Thank you for all the hard work you put into your kids regardless of there being a biological link or not.   We celebrated early yesterday with all four of the kids, plus Girlfriend and our grandbaby.  I figured they'd be busy with The Ex, Girlfriend's mom, and it also being Girlfriend's first ever Mother's Day so we opted to do it a day early.  Son even bought me a present which made me tear up. ( I think Girlfriend made him do it but considering how our relationship was at this time last year, it definitely touches my heart. )   The Ex, on the other hand, is being her crazy narcissistic self.  Daughter said on Friday night that she didn't even know if The Ex was picking her up today.  Daughter had texted her asking what time they were coming for her; The Ex replied by asking what time she'd be in Tourist City on Saturday. ( We were celebrating Mother's Day in Tourist City.  ...
