She's deranged.

The Ex shared a post about an hour ago and added the caption, "ALWAYS ❤ "  The post itself reads: "My job as a parent is to protect my kids.  I don't care how old they are, they're mine to protect for life."   She and I clearly have very different definitions of what it means to "protect" your kids.  I do not think that giving teenagers alcohol in exchange for babysitting your children aged 5 and 3 years old means that you are "protecting" your kids.  I also do not think that uprooting your kids and moving them in with an alcoholic who is still married to someone else is "protecting" them.  Even more, I do not think that leaving your 8-year-old son, your 6-year-old daughter, and newborn baby alone in an apartment by themselves on a daily basis from the hours of 4am to 9am while you are 45 minutes away at your job is "protecting" them.  I do not think that putting your children in the middle of your extramarital affai...

The Ex is all over the place lately.

There's been quite a bit going on lately with The Ex, so I think it's easiest to address it all one thing at a time. Thing 1:   Daughter recently had her final Parents' Night for sports.  Obviously, Husband and I attended as we always do.  The Ex also attended with her youngest son; Ned was nowhere to be found.  This was extremely weird considering the past few Parents' Night incidences.  You can read about those here , here , and here .   Someone else said they were surprised to see The Ex and asked if she was going to stay for the entire game.  I said yes, but only because it was her weekend to have Daughter; if it wasn't, she'd probably be gone already or possibly not even have come to begin with.   When they announced Daughter, they only read three names - Husband's, mine, and The Ex's.  No mention of Ned.  Again, this was weird because The Ex had brought him the past few times and at the most recent one, she told Daugh...

She's such a horrible person.

Son and Girlfriend have been looking for an apartment that they can afford.  They had been approved for a low-income apartment, but she told me that it was under new management and they probably were not going to get that one after all.  They finally found one for only $600 a month, which really isn't terrible.  Girlfriend told me that it's about 20 minutes outside of Tiny City; they're moving in on March 1st.   Girlfriend said that she and Son have the $600 for the security deposit, but not the $600 for the first month's rent.  Girlfriend's parents offered to loan them the money until Son gets his tax return money next month.  They didn't want to borrow the full amount from Girlfriend's parents if they could help it; Girlfriend said that they weren't even going to ask Husband & me for it saying, "You've already done so much for us, it's unreal." ( I don't think we've done "so much" for them.  I wish they were ...

Daughter was in a mood last week.

I'm over my whiny self-pity for the time being, so this post will actually be about The Ex 😂   Last week, Daughter's team had a game against one of their bigger rivals.  The day of the game, the head coach had told the team that if they won that night, he would cancel practice the following night.  Daughter's team ended up winning so after the game, she told me that she no longer had practice.   On the way home, Daughter was trying to call The Ex to tell her that she could be picked up at the regular time of 5:30pm because practice had been cancelled.  The Ex was not answering her phone, so Daughter called Ned who eventually answered and said that The Ex wasn't answering because she was "trying to find something."  The Ex got on the phone and Daughter told her what she had to.  They stayed on the phone a bit longer.  At one point I walked past Daughter and overheard The Ex complaining, "I'm tired of being put down, I'm tired of being hur...

Stepparenting is hard.

This blog post has little to do with anything that The Ex said/did and is more just for me to vent.  Nothing really juicy here, just me whining about my feelings.  Feel free to skip 😂   Anyone who has a child knows that parenting is hard.  It's cliche but I totally agree with people who say it's the hardest yet most rewarding job that you'll ever have.   Speaking from my own experience, stepparenting is way harder than just raising your own kids.  Constantly being told that you're wrong regardless of what you say or do, always being paranoid about "overstepping" the invisible boundaries between parents and caregivers, loving someone that you didn't give birth to just as much as someone that you did...it's rough.   I remember when we first got Son a phone and were helping him program his speed-dial numbers.  #1 was automatically assigned to voicemail; Son said that he wanted Husband to be #2, he wanted The Ex to be #3, and he wante...

A Quiet Place.

The Ex hasn't logged into 2houses in over a month now, which means that she hasn't said anything to Husband in that same amount of time.  Come to think of it, she hasn't sent him a message since November when she asked if she could keep Daughter on our weekend but said she refused to switch weekends.  Husband replied, she logged in but didn't read the response.   Daughter recently had a very busy weekend, which happened to fall on The Ex's weekend.  Actually, it would typically have been our weekend except for the clause in the court order that gives The Ex any weekend that the kids had off of school on a Friday or Monday and switches if it's not already her weekend.  Daughter had off on the Friday of that weekend which means that The Ex was supposed to pick her up at 5:30pm on Thursday.  Daughter already knew that she had a lot of things going on that weekend and told us that she was going to stay here that weekend; I blogged about it here . ...

Jesus, take the wheel.

I want so badly to be making all of this up, but I'm not.  This is quite possibly the most delusional thing that she has ever posted in her entire life.   Last night, The Ex shared a post from a Facebook page called "Fathers Matter" ( Just leave the irony of that alone because this is about to get so, so much worse. ) The post was a picture with the saying: "Mothers that love their kids will never teach them to hate their father."   Not only did she share it, but she also wrote: "No person should tell there kids to HATE the other parent... they will find out in time... It just turns that kid phsyco and has so much rage for everyone"   Listen, I know exactly why she shared this; she's talking about Ned's ex-wife and Lucifer.  The Ex feels that Lucifer's mom is making him "hate" Ned, which is turning him into a "phsyco" who is filled with rage.   I just cannot fathom how The Ex sees absolutely none of herself i...
