New year, same old lies
New Years' Day, Husband wakes up to find a text message on his phone from an unknown number: "Good morning! This is [The Ex]. Don't know if you have my new phone number. ( You never gave it to him, why would he have it? Found out the kids have had this number for 2.5 weeks; thanks for not letting us know how to reach you in case there was an emergency with the kids. Parenting win! ) Just wanted to let you know that I will be dropping [Daughter] off later today. ( Daughter was supposed to stay through Monday evening because of winter break, but had practice on Monday. This is the first we heard about Daughter coming home early. ) Before 8pm.
