My heart is so happy

  Yesterday, Daughter and I were having a conversation about someone else and the following was said:

     Me:  [This other woman] is not my favorite person.
     Daughter:  Know who my favorite adult person is?
     Me:  Who?
     Daughter:  You.
     Me:  ....seriously??
     Daughter:  Yup! *big smile*

  I'm pretty sure at that moment in time, my heart exploded.  Moments like this make it all worth it.

Mother's Day was absolutely wild.

   I hope all you mommas (bio, step, adopted, unable to conceive, etc) had a beautiful day on Sunday.  Personally, my day was amazing.  I slept in, Husband grilled out exactly what I wanted to eat, I did practically nothing the entire length of the day, and Husband/the kids got me a personalized necklace with all four of the kids' names and their respective birthstones which made me cry when I opened it because I had literally been looking for something exactly like that for myself but didn't want to spend the money.   The Ex?  Oh boy.  Ohhhh, boy.   I didn't mention in earlier blog posts but Daughter and Guy broke up just before Christmas.  Daughter saw his true colors, realized all of the things that I had previously warned her about were true, and decided she was done.  I didn't blog about all the drama that was involved because I try to keep my family's personal stuff out of posts and just focus on The Ex's insanity.  However, t...

"I'm not going."

  The Ex showed up for Daughter's game last week ( This would be the game that Husband rescheduled just to ruin everyone's plans in New City, because he is all-powerful and has control over what entire school districts do with their basketball teams. ) and gave Husband a check for $15, asked if they could move the exchange place to Different City.  We got home on Friday night, sent her a message on 2houses asking where she'd like to meet on Sunday.   The Ex replied less than four hours before Husband was supposed to pick up the kids on Sunday, gave him an address.  Immediately after Husband got the email saying that The Ex had messaged him on 2houses, his phone let him know he had a text message.  I asked who it was and said, "It's probably [The Ex.]  She's texting you to tell you that she sent you a message."  Aaaaand, I was right.   Now mind you, The Ex still has not signed the stipulation saying that the two of them will communicate exclusi...
