Home sweet home.

I had previously blogged that Girlfriend had been telling Daughter that The Ex wanted to buy a house with Ned; you can read about that here.

A few weeks ago, Husband took Daughter to work one day.  While they were driving, Daughter started telling Husband that The Ex and Ned are buying a house together; Daughter said that they'd already looked at 2 houses and they really liked one of them.  Daughter said that Ned had commented that the house was probably priced at its lowest point right now.  Daughter also said that this house is "20 minutes closer to us." (The Ex must have thought this would somehow make Daughter excited that she was moving "closer" to her...?  It seems extremely stupid to me that they'd move 20 minutes closer to us because that means they'd be 20 minutes farther from both of their jobs, the kids' school, Son & Girlfriend, and even Ned's son.  How is this an improvement?)  Daughter also said that they were going to keep Ned's house that he owns currently and rent it out, "maybe to [Son]."

Personally, I am cringing at the sheer imagination of what life would be like if Son and Girlfriend rented Ned's house.  For starters, I have no doubt that The Ex would still walk into the home as if she lived there because "it's her and [Ned's] house" despite Son being a paying tenant.  One of my friends also commented that if anything broke, The Ex would probably expect Son to either fix it himself or pay to have it fixed without any reimbursement.  And finally, another friend speculated that The Ex only wants to keep Ned's house so that when she gets tired of him, she can kick him out and he'll have somewhere to go while she keeps "her" house that they purchased together.

I'm genuinely curious as to how The Ex is going to obtain a mortgage when Daughter said she's only working two days each week.  I don't know if I mentioned that previously in this blog.  The Ex has been working at a bank for nearly 2 years now and I'm still not entirely positive what job title she holds.  I know she answers the phone quite frequently; Daughter also said that The Ex is not a teller and that she makes cookies on the weekends for the customers.  The bank also just hired two new tellers according to their Facebook page; if The Ex has had limited hours for nearly 2 months, I don't know what she does there but it is clearly not essential to the bank's operation considering that they're filling teller positions but not promoting from within.

The whole thing is a mess.  If Ned buys a home with her, he is going to regret it.  If Son rents from her, he is going to regret it.  Every single thing about all of this is going to benefit The Ex and absolutely nobody else.  It's just horrible to watch.
