And the plot thickens...

The bottom line is that I like to know things.  I'm even more inclined to know things when they affect my family.  So when we found out that The Ex was cheating on Boyfriend, we naturally wanted to find out more about New Guy.

In the last few weeks I have learned:
     New Guy is also married.
New Guy adopted his wife's first child.
New Guy and his wife have another child together.
New Guy and The Ex work together.
The Ex has used New Guy's truck, which is registered in his wife's name, to pick up Son and Daughter from our house.
The Ex is using Daughter as a "middle man" to let New Guy know when Boyfriend is or isn't around, so New Guy knows if he can call The Ex or not.
Both Son and Daughter are completely aware that The Ex is having an affair on Boyfriend.

New Guy is programmed into Daughter's phone under a fake name.  We didn't know it was a fake until we found out that the truck was registered to New Guy's wife.  When we looked into her name, we came across New Guy's real name.  Under typical circumstances, we wouldn't have made any type of connection between the two names.

But my favorite part:  we figured all of this out when we overheard The Ex use New Guy's actual name when she was talking to Daughter.  She is smart enough to give New Guy a fake name in Daughter's phone, but stupid enough to use his real name during a conversation.

  Yup.  That just happened.

  1. Is it just me that finds it legitimately disturbing that both kids know about this, and that Daughter is involved?

    1. No, you are not. I often say that if she wants to cheat on Boyfriend, then that's between her and God. But to involve your kids in your extramarital affair is so abhorrent that I am at a loss for words.

  2. I have to give it to you. I have followed this blog for awhile, and some of BM antics I couldn't even begin to put up with. I know why you don't go to court every week for contempt, but omgosh. This tops EVERYTHING. Then she's going to wonder when her children are old enough, why they don't talk to her, or involve her in anything in their lives.
