I couldn't make this up if I tried

A little while ago, New City began using a system that reports all police activity and puts it on a map.  The public is able to enter their address, select up to a five mile radius, and sign up for daily, weekly, or monthly notifications on crime around their neighborhood.

Yesterday, there was a posting for "warrant service" at an address very, very close to The Ex's home; the service only lists the first two house numbers and the street name instead of the full address.  I laughed out loud and said, "Wouldn't that be something if Boyfriend got arrested again?"

I decided to look into it.  There is a site called "VINE Link" utilized by a majority of the United States.  This site allows you to search for inmates and register for notifications when there is a change in status.  It's a great site for anyone who's been a victim of a crime; it's also handy in situations like this.  I went to the site, typed in Boyfriend's name and found out that he had just been released yesterday by posting bond.

The sad/scary part is that I, and multiple others, could easily see The Ex tricking him into this.  I wouldn't put it past her to contact Boyfriend, telling him it was okay to come over, telling him to come see their kids, and then calling the police once he showed up.  Boyfriend is stupid enough to think that this was just their same old routine and they'd work it out.  He would show up thinking it was all water under the bridge; without proof that The Ex told him it was okay to come over, it's now her word against his.

The hearing is this afternoon to determine if the court will order the restraining order or dismiss it.  I probably won't know the results for another few days, so you and I will be waiting impatiently together.

The silver lining is that I contacted the court the other day and learned I can get copies of everything that The Ex filed.  When it comes to our custody case, all she's ever said about Boyfriend is what a wonderful person he is and how well he treats her, Son and Daughter.  I am immensely interested to see how her story changed and exactly what she told the courts that would persuade them to agree that her own husband can't have contact with her.
