Vacation time again

  The Ex had emailed Husband last Monday, saying she wouldn't be around this past weekend and asking if he wanted to switch for the weekend of the 29th.  Husband replied that same day; she still hasn't read it.  I find it rather paradoxical that she asks if he wants to switch, but refuses to read his answer.  Is she of the impression that just because she left Daughter here, she'll be entitled to a make-up weekend at her leisure?  Honestly, nothing this woman does makes any sense at all.

  If you read my past few blog posts, Daughter said that The Ex had made plans to go somewhere with Ned on the weekend of the 8th and claimed that she had thought that it wasn't her placement weekend.  Since the email last week, I've learned that The Ex is going to be gone not just the weekend of the 8th, but the weekend of the 15th as well.  So really, it didn't matter which weekend was hers; she wasn't planning on seeing Daughter at all because she's running off with Ned.

  I had forgotten until this morning that The Ex did the same thing last year.  While she was busy telling Son he needed anti-depressants and trying to enroll him in a different high school without Husband's consent, she and Ned took off for an entire week by themselves.  Her mother posted a picture of her two kids on their first day of school, because The Ex herself wasn't there for it.

  I'm just waiting with my popcorn for the pictures to be posted...

  I could have told you a long time ago that The Ex is only claiming that Son has depression because it draws more attention to her and she thinks it will convince the court to grant her placement.  However, all of her actions prove that she's not actually concerned at all about Son; if he actually had depression, there's no way he'd be better off with her because she doesn't even pay attention to him right now.   A little over a week ago, Husband emailed The Ex saying that Son told us that she is telling him he is depressed and needs to be on medication.  Husband said that Son is not exhibiting any signs of depression and gave specific examples of how/why; he also said that since The Ex had a concern, he would schedule a doctor's appointment for Son and let her know when it is so that she could attend if she would like.   It took The Ex four days to respond. Voicemails from 2012

  Sometime in mid-January:      “It’s [The Ex], I just wanted to talk to the kids. Can you please have them call me? Thanks.”   An hour and forty-nine minutes later:      “Hey [Husband], it’s [The Ex]. I called about two hours ago, if not a little more, to talk to the kids. Um, still waiting for you to have them call me back. Bye.” ( It was Family Night.  We didn't have our phones and she knew this. )   Early February:      “Hey [Husband], it’s [The Ex]. Wanted to talk to the kids, if you can have them return my call. Um...I know you say 5 o’clock is the best time to call so...I was hoping to catch ‘em. Have ‘em give me a call. Bye.”  ( Husband never said this.  Our schedule had been the same since 2009; the kids and I didn't get home until around 5:30pm.  The Ex even left a voicemail in 2010 saying that Husband had told her the kids get home at 5:30pm.  But now magically, Husband...

Must be awfully icy in Hell right now.

   Son & Girlfriend recently had a party for Granddaughter's second birthday.  Girlfriend created a Facebook event and invited all of their guests.  The Ex never responded one way or the other; given that Grandson is 3 years old and The Ex has attended his very first birthday party but not the others, I didn't know if she was going to attend or not.   About 2 weeks before the party, The Ex had planned a couples' weekend and invited her best friend, the best friend's boyfriend, and also Daughter and her new boyfriend.  The friend ended up backing out but Daughter and her boyfriend went.  Daughter said she also pre-warned her boyfriend that Ned is extremely awkward, that he had a staring problem, and that he's a terrible driver; her boyfriend later told her that he thought she was kidding about all of it but she was, in fact, warning him about the truth.  Apparently, Ned will just stare right at you and not say a single word; if you look back at...
