Police reports 2008
The first one was from February. The Ex and Boyfriend had been living together for not quite seven months; she was four months pregnant with their daughter. According to the call log, The Ex called the police and told dispatch that Boyfriend was drunk and called her several times; Boyfriend said if The Ex came home and parked behind his car, he would run it over. Boyfriend was already talking to officers at their address. The Ex called back about 15 minutes later and was told an officer would be sent when one was available. Five minutes later, Boyfriend agreed to stop calling The Ex and would stay at his sister's house; Boyfriend's sister showed up and agreed to watch over him because he was drunk. (This happened on a Thursday night. It wasn't even the weekend)
The next report was from June and involved a bar; The Ex was also in this report, despite being 8 months pregnant. Around 12:40am, a bartender called the police over a disturbance. She said there were two males arguing and that one of them had been kicked out earlier. According to the report, Boyfriend's brother had been at the bar by himself around 9pm; he left and came back around 11pm with Boyfriend. Boyfriend's brother tried taking a pitcher of beer and was told he had to leave. Another person at the bar tried to intervene and told Boyfriend's brother he needed to leave; Boyfriend's brother was trying to take the fight outside (I have no idea how this escalated to a fight unless they were really that drunk on a Sunday night) The bartender wrote down the license plate of the car that Boyfriend's relative left in. The officers went to the address for the vehicle, which was registered to Boyfriend's sister. As the officers were waiting, Boyfriend's sister and The Ex showed up (Eight months pregnant, running around at 1am; I have no idea where Son or Daughter were but I know for a fact that we had dropped them off with The Ex less than seven hours before this) Boyfriend's sister said she was not at the bars with her brothers but had seen another man push her brother; she said she told their brother they should leave and they did. The Ex said she was in the car outside of the bar and saw the bartender telling Boyfriend's brother to leave; she said she did not see anyone push each other. Boyfriend's brother said someone who didn't work at the bar told him he needed to leave and pushed him. Boyfriend said he didn't see any pushing when he was sitting in the car. Boyfriend's brother was told not to return to the bar or he would be arrested for trespassing.
The next call was in September. Boyfriend called the police at 3:54am and said that his sister's life was being threatened by their cousin, and she was scared to report it. The police told Boyfriend that his sister would have to call the police (What is wrong with this entire family?!)
The next report was in November on Thanksgiving. (This was the same year that The Ex told Husband he needed to help her buy snow pants because she couldn't afford them because of all the people that were coming over to her place for Thanksgiving dinner) The Ex's dad called the police at 12:18am on Friday saying there was a domestic dispute between Boyfriend and The Ex; the reporting party said both parties were intoxicated and no weapons were involved (This also happened to be The Ex's year to have the kids for Thanksgiving, so Son and Daughter were there while this was happening) The Ex told one officer that she and Boyfriend started arguing about the drinking going on in the apartment because she did not want it there (Hilarious. It was fine a year ago for 15-year-olds to drink and babysit for your kids, but now you don't want drinking in your apartment?)
The Ex said she was on the phone speaking to family members about Boyfriend; she thought Boyfriend's cousin overheard her and told Boyfriend. Boyfriend came into the bedroom, was upset and asked why she was talking about him. The Ex said while they were in the bedroom, Boyfriend pushed her down on the bed "jokingly" and was straddling over her. The Ex said they were talking and she got upset with Boyfriend; she said she asked him to get off of her and he didn't, and then he told her she was not talking their child (So he was upset, pushed her onto the bed, refused to get off of her and said she was not taking their child. I don't see how this would be done "jokingly" by either one of them) The Ex said she then pushed Boyfriend off of her and that she pushed him hard enough that he fell off the bed and his head hit the dresser (Was this also done "jokingly"?) The Ex said that Boyfriend then got upset and swung at her, but missed because she blocked it; she said that Boyfriend swung at her again and hit the left side of her face by her lip and cheek. The Ex said she wasn't injured and was not scared for her safety; she said this had happened an hour and a half earlier. The Ex told the officer she did not want to make a big deal out of this (If a man ever hit me in the face, I don't know that he would make it until the police came. You're damn right I'd make a big deal out of it) The Ex said she was going to go to her parents' apartment for the night with the kids and her dad had come to pick them up.
The officer who spoke to Boyfriend noted that he was drunk; Boyfriend said family had come over for Thanksgiving, everyone had been drinking all day, there had been several arguments and other family members had assisted in diffusing those fights. Boyfriend said he and The Ex had gotten into an argument because other people were talking badly about him. Boyfriend said The Ex had pushed him, he pushed her back and The Ex pushed him a second time. Boyfriend said he fell and bumped his head but wasn't injured. Boyfriend said the fight had taken place one to one and a half hours earlier and had no idea who called the police or why. The officers did nothing more because it was hard to tell who the instigator was, and The Ex and Boyfriend had already made plans to separate for the night.
